Winston Kidd is a judge for the Seventh Judicial District of Mississippi.[1] He was appointed to the position by Governor Ronnie Musgrove on October 31, 2001, and was elected to a full term the following year.[2][3] He was re-elected after running unopposed on November 4, 2014, for a term that begins in 2015 and will expire in 2018.[4][5]

Education

Kidd received a B.S. degree in respiratory therapy from the University of Mississippi in 1987. He worked for a year as a registered respiratory therapist before enrolling at Mississippi College, where he earned his J.D. in 1991.[2]

Career

Prior to his judicial appointment in 2001, Kidd spent about ten years working as an attorney with the law firm of Walker and Walker.[2]
