Your incumbent is voting against your best interests. He wants to privatize Social Security and he voted against: lowering the cost of insulin; against the PACT Act to provide medical assistance to our veterans; against the infant formula funding bill; against allowing Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices; against an individual’s right to purchase contraceptives; against aid for Ukraine

I believe healthcare is a right; Social Security and Medicare funding can be immediately solved by removing the cap on contributions enjoyed by high wage earners; veteran homelessness has been eradicated in 3 states and 82 municipalities - lets emulate that across the U.S. and help them access community care

In the 116th Congress Tom Tiffany missed 350% more votes than the average congressperson - you need someone showing up to represent your best interests and voting for you!
I believe we owe our citizens quality healthcare, it is a right. 58% of all American debt is medical debt. Healthy citizens make for a strong country. Preventive care and addressing medical problems when they are small and inexpensive to cure is both a kindness and is fiscally responsible.

I support a woman’s choice as to what happens with her body, just as I support a man’s choice as to his.

I believe in our democracy and Constitution. I would never conspire to overturn a free and fair election as Mr. Tiffany did.

I believe in taking care of our veterans after they have served our country, and their family.

I am here to fund our law enforcement officers, not defund the blue.

I am a big supporter of retired seniors.

I believe in supporting family farms and in supporting sustainable agriculture.

I am a fiscal conservative. I will look after your tax dollars with care and respect.

There is no room for hate.

I believe the climate crisis is real.

I value our lakes, rivers, and wetlands. and water resources.

I own firearms. However, gun clips do not need to hold more than 5-6 bullets; we need to ensure that every person purchasing a firearm is entitled to purchase a firearm; if someone is legally deemed a danger to themselves or others we need to remove their firearms until they are legally deemed not to be a danger, and If someone is purchasing a firearm for the first time they need to take a gun safety course.
Mowed yards and shoveled sidewalks starting in the 4th grade. First official paycheck was for being a busboy at South of the Border restaurant during the summer of 1977.
I believe representatives should be limited to twelve years, six terms for House of Representatives and two terms for Senate. I think we should also look at making the term for House of Representatives three years or fours years vs. two, still no more than twelve years total.
Having put more than 18,000 miles on my truck since starting this adventure in May, the one constant I hear from meeting with numerous Republicans, Democrats and Independents at fairs, parades, farm events and other events, is they want their members of Congress to compromise to move things forward. Reaching across the aisle is critical to making progress, everyone gives a little to move things forward.

General election race ratings

See also: Race rating definitions and methods

Ballotpedia provides race ratings from four outlets: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and DDHQ/The Hill. Each race rating indicates if one party is perceived to have an advantage in the race and, if so, the degree of advantage:

  • Safe and Solid ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge and the race is not competitive.
  • Likely ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge, but an upset is possible.
  • Lean ratings indicate that one party has a small edge, but the race is competitive.[1]
  • Toss-up ratings indicate that neither party has an advantage.

Race ratings are informed by a number of factors, including polling, candidate quality, and election result history in the race's district or state.[2][3][4]

Post-filing deadline analysis

The following analysis covers all U.S. House districts up for election in Wisconsin in 2022. Information below was calculated on July 26, 2022, and may differ from information shown in the table above due to candidate replacements and withdrawals after that time.

Twenty-two candidates filed to run for Wisconsin's eight U.S. House districts, including nine Democrats and 13 Republicans. That's 2.75 candidates per district, less than the 2.88 candidates per district in 2020 and the 3.1 in 2018. This was the first election to take place under new district lines following the 2020 census. Wisconsin was apportioned eight districts, the same number it was apportioned after the 2010 census.

The 22 candidates who filed this year were the fewest candidates running for Wisconsin's U.S. House seats since 2012, when 20 candidates ran. Twenty-three candidates ran in 2020, 25 in 2018, 23 in 2016, and 27 in 2014.

One district — the 3rd — was open. That was the same number of open seats as every other election cycle since 2012. Rep. Ron Kind (D), the incumbent in the 3rd district, did not file for re-election. Five candidates — four Democrats and one Republican — ran to replace Kind, the most candidates who ran for a seat this year.

There were six contested primaries this year — one Democratic and five Republican. That was the same number as in 2020 and 2018 and two fewer than in 2016 and 2014. Four incumbents — two Democrats and two Republicans — did not face any primary challengers. Two districts — the 6th and the 8th — were guaranteed to Republicans because no Democrats made the ballot.
