Wm. E. Higgins
William E. "Bill" Higgins was a judge for the Davidson County General Sessions Court, Division VII in Davidson County, Tennessee. He was first elected to the court in 1980 was re-elected in 1982, 1990, 1998, 2006, and 2014. He was based out of Nashville.[1][2][3]
Biography
Education
Higgins received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. degree from the YMCA Night Law School (now called the Nashville School of Law). Prior to attending law school, he served two years of active service in the United States Army Signal Corps. He was later honorably discharged from the Army Reserve after obtaining the rank of captain.[2]
Career
Higgins practiced law in West Nashville for thirteen years prior to his judicial election in 1980. He also served three terms as a metro councilman.[2]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.
