Campaign themes

2012

Grulkey's campaign website listed the following beliefs:[1]

  • Education is the most important function of state government from pre-school to college.
  • Working families are the backbone of Arkansas. I will work for ways to create jobs and better educate our workforce to be viable in the 21st century economy
  • I will be a voice for the elderly and veterans.
  • I will look into programs to see if we are getting the best value for our tax dollars, expand what is working and eliminate waste.
  • I will propose that the State buy "local and American" for it's contracts for infrastructure projects putting Arkansans back to work.
  • I will propose a "Veteran's Court" modeled after our current Drug Courts for Vietnam and Iraq/Afghanistan combat veterans.
  • I believe in equal treatment and justice for all.
  • Ideas are our greatest gift.
