Wooten appointed to Florida Circuit Court
May 8, 2012
Florida: Gov. Rick Scott appointed Wayne Wooten to the 9th Circuit Court of Florida on May 3, 2012. Wooten, who has served as an assistant state attorney for the past 17 years, will replace former Judge N. James Turner, who was removed from office for misconduct in November of 2011.
Regarding Wooten, the Governor stated, "He has demonstrated a commitment to upholding the law and refraining from allowing his personal beliefs and preferences to influence his legal judgment."[1]
