Brooks ran in the 2012 election for Arizona House of Representatives District 5. He and George Schnittgrund were defeated by incumbent Doris Goodale and Sonny Borrelli in the Republican primary on August 28, 2012. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
