Christensen ran for election in the 2012 election for Utah House of Representatives District 46. Christensen defeated N. William Clayton and Lee Anne Walker in the Republican convention and was defeated by incumbent Marie Poulson (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
