Wyoming governor says budget cuts likely in coming months

CHEYENNE, Wyoming: Governor Matt Mead (R) said that agencies across Wyoming should plan for possible budgets cuts.[1]
Mead requested that agencies propose three separate budgets -- with cuts of two, five and eight percent, respectively.[2]
According to Mead, the state's projected revenue is more than $100 million less than was initially predicted in July 2011. In December, Mead proposed a $3.4 billion budgets that was joined with a $87 appropriation for legislators to hand out as they see fit.[1]
The Wyoming Legislature will be in session from February 13 – March 9 in 2012.
