Wyoming state representative resigns
September 15, 2011

CHEYENNE, Wyoming: Lisa Shepperson (R), who had represented District 58 in the Wyoming House of Representatives since 2007, resigned earlier this month. She cited a desire to spend more time with her infant daughter and on her ranching business.[1]
She missed one week of the legislative session earlier this year when she gave birth in March.[1]
Shepperson was re-elected in 2010 without facing any general election opposition.
Her replacement will be chosen by the Natrona County commissioners. First, the Natrona County Republicans will submit a list of three candidates who will finish out the term that ends in January 2013.[1]
Republicans have a commanding partisan advantage in the House.
