Yamelisa Taveras, M.A., CAADC, CCS is the Founder of a local nonprofit organization, and Program Director of Counseling Solutions of Lehigh Valley (CSOLV), a bilingual and bicultural recovery counseling center in

Allentown PA. Yamelisa is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of William Allen HS, Dual-Bachelor's degree from DeSales University, and Master's Degree from Villanova University. She is an AmeriCorps Alumna, and has lived in Allentown for 24 years. She has been a homeowner since the age of 23. Yamelisa is a wife, mother, and servant leader to the community for over 15 years. She was recognized by the Lehigh Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as Community Partner of the Year, Bright Lights by PPL Corporation, has received numerous proclamations from the City and the Senate for her outstanding work. She is an advocate for Type 1 diabetes, as an insulin-dependent diabetic since the age of 10. Yamelisa was the State of the Union Guest of Congresswoman Wild. A proven leader and solution-focused entrepreneur that has vast experience working with communities throughout the Lehigh Valley.

The Lehigh Valley is a beautiful microcosm representative of the nation's growth. It is diverse and filled with the potential to set examples for surrounding areas. Reinvesting resources for mental health and substance use disorder, addressing the housing crisis, investing in the local economy to flourish and increasing the minimum wage, protecting bodily autonomy and our rights to privacy, increasing access to medicare and Medicaid, utilizing an equal fair funding formula across the district, and encouraging the citizens of the district to go green and protect our environment.
