A Yamhill County fire Protection District Levy Increase measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Yamhill County, which is in Oregon, where it was defeated.
If approved, this measure would have authorized the Yamhill County Fire Protection District to increase the property tax rate by levying a tax of $.55 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for five years in order to continue funding the level of Fire service provided by the District. This tax would allow the replacement of equipment and vehicles, fund two full-time firefighter/EMS positions for daytime responses. This tax would raise approximately $155,062 in 2013-2014; $159,713 in 2014-2015; $164,505 in 2015-2016; $169,440 in 2016-2017; and $174,523 in 2017-2018.[1]
