I am a long time East Anchorage resident, community activist and the proud mother of two Anchorage School District students.
  • Bolstering Economic Opportunities: Our local economy should reflect a thriving city. Ensuring that working families have access to good-paying jobs is essential to cultivating an environment where businesses can grow and workers can find meaningful employment to support their families. That means investing in education, workforce development, supporting local businesses, and ensuring economic growth benefits everyone, not just a select few. By partnering with businesses, educational institutions, and industry leaders, we can create opportunities that equip our workforce with the skills needed for today’s jobs and tomorrow’s challenges.
  • Affordable Housing: Anchorage is facing a housing crisis that affects every corner of our community. With high housing costs and wages not keeping pace with the rate of inflation, too many working families are struggling to find a safe and stable place to call home. The lack of affordable housing puts a financial burden on residents and contributes to outmigration. Ensuring everyone has access to housing that meets their needs is critical for keeping our communities strong and ensuring our economy and families thrive. By addressing the housing crisis, expanding access to mental health services, and providing pathways to employment and self-sufficiency, we can help reduce homelessness and create a safer, more inclusive Anchorage.
  • Government Transparency: Trust in government is essential to a functioning democracy, and the people of Anchorage deserve leaders who are accountable and transparent in their decision-making. As a member of the Assembly, I will prioritize transparency in government by advocating for clear communication, accessible public records, and increased opportunities for public participation in the decision-making process. When government is transparent and accountable, it leads to better outcomes for everyone and strengthens the bond between elected officials and the community they serve.
I'm passionate about ensuring our neighborhoods—especially our streets, trails, and parks—are safe, accessible, and well-maintained for everyone. Our public spaces should be places where families can gather, kids can play, and people can walk, bike or simply enjoy the outdoors without fear.

Ultimately our neighborhoods are only as strong as the people who live in them. By making strategic investments in infrastructure, fostering community-driven solutions, and ensuring our public spaces reflect the needs and values of the people who use them, we can create a healthier, and more vibrant East Anchorage community for everyone.
The Assembly has budget oversight, sets policy, and plays a critical role in maintaining our system of checks and balances.
Listening, showing up, and ensuring the decisions made truly serve the needs of the people.
When I was 14 years old, I worked in a donut shop at the Dimond Center mall for approximately a year. I used the money I earned from this and a subsequent job to purchase my first car.
I have been endorsed by a host of legislators, assembly members, union organizations and community leaders.
When government is transparent and accountable, it leads to better outcomes for everyone and strengthens the bond between elected officials and the community they serve.
