Yolanda Padilla was a candidate for at-large representative on the Redwood City Elementary Board of Trustees in California. The general election was held on November 3, 2015.[1] She lost the election.[2]

Opposition
Three of the seven seats on the Redwood City Elementary School District Board of Trustees were up for general election on November 3, 2015. The election was held at large.[3][4] The seats held by incumbents Dennis McBride, Alisa MacAvoy and Shelly Masur were on the ballot.[5]
Masur did not file to run for re-election, which left a seat open to a newcomer. McBride and MacAvoy won re-election, and Janet Lawson won the open seat. They defeated challenger Yolanda Padilla.[1][2]

Funding
The first campaign finance reporting deadline was September 24, 2015, and the second one was October 22, 2015. If candidates raised or spent more than $1,000 from a single source, including their own funds, between August 5, 2015, and November 2, 2015, they had to file a campaign finance report within 24 hours.[6]
