Yolanda Teran Begum was a 2014 candidate for the justice of the peace court in Cameron County, Texas (Precinct 2, Place 2).[1]

Begum ran for election to the Cameron County Justice Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 33.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Jonathan Gracia and Erin H. Garcia.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Begum faced Gracia in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. She was defeated, earning 35.1% of the votes cast.
