An initiative seeking to keep all of the county's water within the county's boundaries was not put on the ballot for voters in Yuba County, California, in 2015.
Among other supporters, this initiative was proposed by a group called the Yuba Patients Coalition, which was also behind opposition to the county's ordinance restricting marijuana cultivation and an effort to recall Yuba County Supervisor Andy Vasquez in response to Vasquez's support of the ordinance. Petitioners failed to submit the requisite signatures by the deadline. Thus, this measure was not put on the ballot.[1][2]
