Yvette Durant is a judge on the Superior Court of Sierra County in California. She was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown (D) on December 23, 2016. Although judgeships in California are officially nonpartisan, Durant is a Democrat.[1]

Biography

Durant received a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. She was a commissioner at the Superior Court of Nevada County from 2011 to 2016. Durant previously working in private practice: as a sole practitioner from 1999 to 2011, at Tonon and Associates in 1999, and at Ashbaugh Beal from 1991 to 1993.[1]
