Yvette Richardson
Yvette Richardson (Democratic Party) is a member of the Alabama State Board of Education, representing District 4. She assumed office in 2011. Her current term ends on January 18, 2027.

Biography
Richardson's career in education includes time spent as a superintendent of the Russell County school system and as an associate dean at Virginia College. Richardson worked with the Fairfield city school system as an educational consultant, teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of curriculum, assistant superintendent, interim superintendent, and superintendent. Richardson also taught as an adjunct professor at Miles College, Samford University, and Troy University.[1]

Richardson was first elected to the Alabama State Board of Education in the 2010 elections and was sworn in the following January. She was reelected in 2014.
