Yvonne Hayes Hinson (Democratic Party) is a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 21. She assumed office on November 8, 2022. Her current term ends on November 3, 2026.
Hinson (Democratic Party) won re-election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 21 outright in the general election on November 5, 2024, after the Democratic primary and general election were canceled.
Biography
Yvonne Hayes Hinson was born and lives in Gainesville, Florida. Hinson earned a B.A. and M.A. in education from the University of Florida in 1971 and 1972, respectively. Her career experience includes working as an educator. Hinson has served as the president of the University of Florida Black Alumni Association, the membership chair of the Alachua County Democratic Executive Committee, and the finance chair of the Gainesville Housing Authority Governing Board.[1]
