Yvonne Wilson (b. March 22, 1929) was a Democratic member of the Missouri State Senate from 2005 to 2011. She represented the 9th District.

Biography

Wilson earned her B.S. from Lincoln University in 1950. She went on to receive her M.A. in sociology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1971. She then earned her M.E.D. in 1976.

Wilson was a teacher consultant for the Education School District from 1963 to 1969. She then worked as teacher/principal for the School District of Kansas City, Missouri, from 1950 to 1982. From 1982 to 1985 she was director of elementary education. She also worked as a consultant/program director for Metropolitan Community Colleges from 1985 to 1990. She then worked as director of the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center until 1995.

Wilson served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 1963 to 1969.
