Zach Adamson
Zach Adamson (Democratic Party) was a member of the Indianapolis City Council, representing District 17. Adamson assumed office in 2012. Adamson left office on January 1, 2024.
Adamson (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Indianapolis City Council to represent District 13. Adamson lost in the Democratic primary on May 2, 2023.
Adamson was elected to the District 16 seat on the council in 2011, and won election to the District 17 seat on November 3, 2015.[1]
Biography
Adamson is a small business owner. Other experience includes serving on the board of directors of the Holy Cross-Westminster neighborhood association and the Near Eastside Community Organization (NESCO). After Holy Cross-Westminster divided in 2005, Adamson founded the Willard Park of Holy Cross-Westminster Civic Alliance. He is a member of the National Association of Latino Elected Officials.[2][1]

2015
The city of Indianapolis, Indiana, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A partisan primary election took place on May 5, 2015. The filing deadline for major party candidates who wished to run in this election was February 6, 2015. The filing deadline for independent or minor party candidates was July 15, 2015.[3] Twenty-five city council seats were up for election. Indianapolis's four at-large seats were not up for election, because those seats were scheduled to expire at the end of 2015.[4]
In the Republican primary election for District 17, Sally Spiers ran unopposed. In the Democratic primary, Zach Adamson also ran unopposed. Adamson defeated Spiers in the general election. Incumbent Mary Moriarty Adams (D) did not run for re-election.[5]
