Issues
Campaign themes
2012
In information submitted to Ballotpedia, Anderson outlined one of the major themes of his campaign:[1]
"South Dakota is a state whose population, though small, has great potential. Currently, many of our best and brightest high school graduates feel that they need to go to universities out of state in order to get the best education available. For our long term success we need to offer students the quality of education that they currently seek elsewhere. We can accomplish this. Together, we can make the changes needed to get our students with the greatest potential to stay, instead of simply hoping they will return."
Elections

Anderson ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota House of Representatives District 3. Anderson ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5 and was defeated in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
