Elon Musk is someone I look up to. Mr. Musk at one point had only a few dollars to his name and is now a billionaire. Mr. Musk does what others never would dream of doing and does it until he succeeds. Mr. Musk has taught me to take chances and not to let failure define you. Instead let failure refine you. When things go wrong, use that as a learning experience.
To do what is best for the people of their district and not what is popular
The only thing I am interested in leaving is a thriving state for my daughter and future grandchildren
The first historical event that I can remember happening was 9/11. I was 5 year olds and can remember the teachers at school in complete shock.
My first job was as a cashier at Walmart in Du Quoin. After 2 weeks on the job, I was promoted to the customer service desk. I had this job for 3 months, before I resigned due to purchasing Du Quoin Tropical Sno.
I had a child at 17 and in High School. It was challenging, but I used it to motivate me and push me.
No, I believe the most beneficial experience and knowledge a state legislator can have are: Business and legal. In law, the placement of a comma can complete change the outcome and meaning.
The flood of people leaving the state due to high taxes. We must lower taxes to stop the flood of people from leaving the state. It is better to have low taxes on many people, then high taxes on a few people.
The ideal relationship is one where the state legislature and governor can work together to craft legislation that will benefit everyone in the state.
Yes, it is very important to build relationship with other legislators. It is impossible to pass a bill by yourself. Having relationships with other state legislators is essential to achieving success.
I would be interested in serving on any of the following committees:

Adoption Reform
Appropriations-Elementary & Secondary Education
Appropriations-Higher Education
Bio-Technology
Elementary & Secondary Education
Health & Healthcare Disparities
Health Care Availability Access
Health Care Licenses
Higher Education
Judiciary I - Civil Law
Judiciary II - Criminal Law
Revenue & Finance

Small Business Empowerment & Workforce Development
I am interested in running for State Senate, Governor, U.S. Congress, Senate, and the President of the United States of America.
