After high school, I proudly served eight years in the United States Marine Corps from 2013 to 2021 as a Field Artillery Cannoneer with 2nd Battalion, 10th Marines, Golf Battery, and deployed in 2016 with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit. My military service instilled discipline, accountability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from George Mason University and bring hands-on experience in financial management and accountability. I have worked as a property accountant, tax preparer, and accounting manager, reconciling funds, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple accounts. I have also volunteered as treasurer for churches and nonprofits, giving me practical experience managing budgets and safeguarding entrusted funds.
My wife and I have been married for 11 years, and we are blessed to be raising six children here in Caroline County. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering at church, and coaching youth baseball, staying actively involved in the community that raised me.- Accountability: I am a lifelong Caroline County resident, Marine Corps veteran, husband, and father who believes public service is about trust and accountability. I grew up here, was educated here, and now I am raising my family here. I understand that every dollar collected by the Treasurer’s Office belongs to the taxpayers, and it should be handled accurately, responsibly, and transparently.
- Proficiency: I bring real, hands-on financial experience to the Treasurer’s Office. With a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and professional experience as a property accountant, tax preparer, and accounting manager, I have spent my career reconciling funds, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring accurate financial reporting, skills directly aligned with the responsibilities of County Treasurer.
- Public service: Whether someone is visiting the Treasurer’s Office, calling with a question, or working within the office, they deserve to be treated with professionalism, respect, and courtesy. As Treasurer, I will foster a culture where employees are supported, well-trained, and empowered to serve the public effectively. By prioritizing customer service and teamwork, the Treasurer’s Office can operate efficiently while providing a positive experience for residents and businesses.
