Carver completed a candidate statement for VoteWA. The statement said, “Political agendas do not belong in schools and can hinder educational goals. Students should be able to focus on core subjects such as Math, English, and History.” She added that she “also believes that parents should have the right to know what their children are being taught and be able to opt their children out of specific lessons that they would like to teach at home or do not feel are age appropriate.”
