I’m Zdenka “Zee” Wilcox, a wife, mother, small business owner, and naturalized American citizen running for Texas House District 98.

I was born in communist Czechoslovakia in 1978 to a teenage mother who grew up in an orphanage. I experienced poverty and instability early in life, which shaped my resilience and appreciation for freedom. I became a nurse, studied medicine, and immigrated to the United States in 1999 in search of opportunity. Becoming a U.S. citizen remains one of the proudest moments of my life.

I am a domestic violence survivor and the mother of three children who attend public schools. My experience navigating the family court system strengthened my belief that government must be transparent, accountable, and fair.

Professionally, I worked in the semiconductor industry before transitioning into entrepreneurship. My husband and I co-own Brizenka Ltd., where we develop innovative, water-free personal care products. Building a small business has given me firsthand experience with regulation, payroll, and economic risk.

I am running a grassroots campaign focused on fiscal responsibility, strong local schools, judicial accountability, and protecting constitutional freedoms. I believe elected officials should answer to their communities and prioritize practical solutions that serve families and small businesses.
  • Small Government & Fiscal Responsibility: Government should be limited, efficient, and accountable to taxpayers. I support lower taxes, fewer mandates, and policies that protect individual freedom while keeping decision-making closer to our communities.
  • Support for Small Businesses: As a small business owner, I understand payroll, regulation, and economic risk. I will advocate for policies that reduce red tape and create an environment where entrepreneurs can grow and hire.
  • Constitutional Rights & Judicial Accountability: I will defend constitutional freedoms and push for transparency, due process, and accountability within our judicial system to ensure fairness for families.
I am most passionate about protecting constitutional rights, ensuring judicial transparency and accountability, and strengthening small businesses. My personal experiences navigating the family court system deepened my commitment to due process, fairness, and government accountability. As a small business owner, I care deeply about reducing unnecessary regulation and protecting economic opportunity. I am also committed to supporting strong local schools and policies that keep decision-making close to the community rather than expanding centralized government control.
My campaign is grassroots and community-driven. I have been supported by local residents across HD98, including small business owners, parents, and volunteers who believe in citizen-led representation. Many supporters are families who have felt unheard within the Texas family court system and individuals who want greater transparency and accountability in government. I am not funded by PACs or large special-interest organizations. My endorsements primarily come from “We the People” — everyday moms and dads, local entrepreneurs, and community members who want their voices represented in Austin.
