Washington, D.C.: Superior Court Judge Joan Zeldon will be retiring from her seat on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in December of 2011. Zeldon was appointed to the court in 1990. She has served in both the Criminal and Family Divisions of the court.[1]

Applications are being sought to fill her seat by the District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission, who will review them and submit three recommendations to President Obama, who will then make his appointment. The deadline for interested parties to submit an application is November 14, 2011.[2]
