Zia Faruqui is a magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Faruqui assumed office on September 14, 2020.
Biography
Zia Faruqui earned his bachelor's degree and J.D. from Georgetown University in 2001 and 2004, respectively.[1][2] His previous work experience includes working as an attorney, working as an adjunct professor at Harris-Stowe University, and as a federal prosecutor for the United States Attorney Office for the Eastern District of Missouri and then in the District of Columbia.[3][4]
