A Zilwaukee City Fire Levy Renewal proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Saginaw County, which is in Michigan, where it was approved.
This proposal authorized the City of Zilwaukee to renew a property tax levy of 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 5 years in order to fund the purchase of fire extinguishing apparatus and equipment and housing for the City. The estimated first year revenue from this tax is $42,343.35.[1]
