J. Weber McCraw

J. Weber McCraw is a circuit court judge for the Twenty-Fifth Circuit Court in Tennessee. He was appointed by former Governor Phil Bredesen on January 21, 2005, to replace retired Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood. McCraw was elected to the court without opposition in 2006 and re-elected in 2014. His current eight-year term expires in 2022.[1][2][3]

Education
McCraw received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1981 and his J.D. degree from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1984.[1][4]
Career
McCraw began his career in 1984 as a private practice attorney at the firm of Gordon, Forrester and Whitaker in Covington, Tennessee. He worked there until 1991. In 1990, he was elected judge of the Fayette County General Sessions Court. McCraw held that position until his judicial appointment to the Twenty-Fifth Circuit Court in 2005. He also worked as a city judge for various municipalities in Fayette and Tipton counties.[1][4]
