Hiram E. Puig-Lugo

Hiram E. Puig-Lugo is an associate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to the court by President Bill Clinton in 1999.[1]
Education
Puig-Lugo received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1984 and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1988.[1]
Career
Puig-Lugo began his legal career as a Staff Attorney with the Public Defender Service of the District of Columbia. He worked there for eight years, until becoming a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice in 1996. At that point, he joined the Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division, where he worked until joining the Superior Court.[1]
