Biography
Lorintz received an undergraduate degree from Queens College in 1979 and a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. His professional experience includes working as a principal law clerk for Justice Marber and as an attorney in private practice.[2]

Lorintz ran for election to the Nassau County Family Court.
Primary: He was defeated in the Independence primary on September 9, 2014, receiving 16.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Thomas Rademaker, Danielle M. Peterson and Helen Voutsinas. Additionally, he ran on the Democratic party line, though there was not a primary for that party.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 22.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Thomas Rademaker, Danielle M. Peterson and Helen Voutsinas for two open seats.

Lorintz ran for election to the Nassau County District Court, 4th District. He was one of six candidates competing for three positions in the general election on November 6, 2012. He was defeated in the general election, receiving 13.58 percent of the vote.[7][8]
2011

Lorintz ran unsuccessfully for election to the New York Supreme Court 10th Judicial District on November 8. He received 8.26 percent of the vote, failing to earn one of the 10 positions on the ballot for that court.[9][10]
