Luis Carlos Licon, originally from El Paso, Texas, is currently a student pursuing a degree in Political Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, with an expected graduation in the summer of 2024. As a passionate advocate for education accessibility, Luis has been an active and vocal presence on campus. Serving as a voting member for the Student Recreation Board within the Student Government, he actively contributes to decisions shaping student life. Additionally has served as a legislative intern at the State Capitol. Beyond governance, Luis has dedicated himself to fostering a campus environment marked by equity and inclusion, participating in various student organizations dedicated to cultural awareness. His commitment to education accessibility and advocacy for equity and inclusion underscores his vision for a vibrant and inclusive community.

I am personally passionate about advocating for policies in the realms of affordable housing, education, environmental sustainability, and immigration. Ensuring that individuals have access to affordable housing and quality education is fundamental for building equitable and thriving communities. Additionally, I am committed to environmental policies that address climate change and promote sustainability to safeguard our planet for future generations. Lastly, my passion extends to immigration policies that prioritize inclusivity, fairness, and uphold the values of compassion and humanity. These policy areas align with my core values and reflect my dedication to contributing to positive change in our society.
