Campaign themes

2017

Frias' website highlighted the following campaign themes:[4]

Transparency

  • Excerpt: "There is nothing more important than to know what goes on in the halls of City Hall. Thomas Jefferson once said, 'An informed populace is essential to Liberty.' That is just as true today as it was during our country's founding."

Accountability

  • Excerpt: "Public officials, elected and un-elected, have an obligation to explain their decisions and actions to the citizens. Accountability is designed to prevent corruption and ensure that public officials remain answerable and accessible to the people they serve."

City priorities

  • Excerpt: "Roads, infrastructure, and emergency personnel the basic functions of government are top priority for our campaign. "

Business

  • Excerpt: "I believe in attracting businesses, small or large, by eliminating barriers that make it difficult for them to establish themselves in Arlington. I also believe that by allowing the private sector to assume control over city services the local job market has room to grow thus eliminating government waste. Once a competitive free market takes control the citizenry can potentially expect lower pricing and increased quality."
