Alberto Rivas

Alberto Rivas is a judge on the New Jersey Superior Courts for Vicinage 8 in Middlesex County. He was appointed by Governor Jon Corzine and approved by the state Senate in January of 2010. [1] Rivas must be reappointed in 2017 to retain his seat.[2]
Education
Rivas received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his J.D. from Rutgers University.[3]
Career
At the time of his appointment to the bench, Rivas was a partner at Lite DePalma Greenberg & Rivas, LLC. He previously worked as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Law Director for the City of Perth Amboy, and as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University School of Law.[4]
