Elections for the city council of New Orleans, Louisiana consisted of a primary election on February 1, 2014, and a general election on March 15, 2014. Incumbent James Gray II (D) defeated Andre Kelly (I) and Cynthia Willard-Lewis (D) in the blanket primary. Because Gray received more than 50 percent of the vote, a runoff election was not necessary.[3][2]
