Andrea Watt McHugh is a judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. She was appointed by Gov. Rick Scott (R) on March 31, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Chief Judge Andrew D. Owens, Jr.[1]
Biography
McHugh earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from Florida State University.[1]
At the time of her appointment to the bench, McHugh was a prosecutor in the Twelfth Circuit. Her professional experience also includes work for the law firm Lobeck and Hanson, P.A.[1]
