Ann Kuhter is a magistrate judge of the Sixth District of Iowa. She was appointed to this position in 1997 to serve Tama County.[1] She is not an attorney but was grandfathered into the position, since at the time of her original appointment, law degrees were not a requirement for magistrate posts.[2]
