Arkansas: By last Monday, elected officials in Arkansas were required to report their annual statements of financial interest to the secretary of state's office. In it, officials must provide full financial disclosure of both themselves and their spouse, including: sources of income, investments, creditors, guarantors, gifts, awards, sales and more. Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Courtney Henry reported a number of gifts from an attorney she is dating. Before accepting anything from him, she recused herself from any case involving him or his law firm. Remarking on the situation, she said, "I will never be influenced by him because I will never be involved in one of his matters of any kind."[1]
