Arkansas signature filing deadline around the corner

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas: On July 2, 2010, petition signatures for potential ballot initiatives must be submitted in the Razorback State, as the statewide petition drive deadline arrives this Friday. Initiatives that are currently in circulation include initiatives to allow the right to hunt and fish in the state, establish criteria before authorizing the issuance of bonds and lower the threshold for issuing state bonds to attract major industries.
The 2010 signature requirements for proposed ballot issues are at least 77,468 signatures for proposed initiated constitutional amendments, at least 61,974 signatures for proposed initiated state statutes, and at least 46,481 signatures for proposed referenda.
