BYU professor nominated to Utah Supreme Court

Utah: Governor Gary Herbert has nominated Brigham Young University law professor Thomas Rex Lee to the Utah Supreme Court. Lee has taught courses on Civil Procedure, Intellectual Property Law, Supreme Court Seminar, and Legal Interpretation & Analysis at the university since 1997. He served as a law clerk for Harvie Wilkinson of the Fourth Circuit and for Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court of the United States. Lee was also a Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the United States Department of Justice from 2004 to 2005.[1]

The nomination is subject to approval by the Utah State Senate.[2] A hearing is scheduled for June 16, 2010.[3]
