Bethany Currie is a judge on the Second District of Iowa. She was appointed in June 2018 by Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds.[1]

Currie previously was a magistrate judge of the Second District of Iowa. She was appointed by a magistrate appointing commission to fill a newly created magistrate position. Currie was sworn in in May 2017, and she took office on August 1, 2017.[2]

Currie's professional experience includes working as an attorney for Peglow, O’Hare and See, PLC, and as a part-time magistrate judge of Iowa District Two. She also worked as a clerk for a federal judge.[2] She received a bachelor's degree from Augustana College and her J.D. from Drake University.[1]
