Caddo and Woodward Counties Sales Tax Increase, 2009
The Caddo and Woodward Counties Sales Tax Increase was on the August 11, 2009 ballot in Caddo County and Woodward County where they were approved.[1]
The enaction of the ballot measure will now allow Caddo County to implement a three-quarter-cent sales tax in order to build and maintain a prison and dispatch center. In addition, the sales tax increase will fund the county extension office. The margin for the vote was 3 to 1.
In Woodward County, voters approved of a five-eights sales tax to also build a new jail, hire staff and operate it with a 3 to 2 margin.
