Montevideo, Minnesota: Gov. Mark Dayton appointed Charles Glasrud judge of the Minnesota Eighth Judicial District on May 12, 2011. He will replace retired Judge Peter Hoff on this court. The Governor stated, "Mr. Glasrud's legal practice has been wide and varied, and his diverse experience makes him well-qualified to serve on the Eighth Judicial District Court. He has demonstrated a serious commitment to public service, and has deep roots in the community, which will serve him well in his new role as judge."
