Swift's campaign website listed the following themes for the 2014 race:
“ |
During my tenure with the School Board, Charlotte County Schools have become recognized leaders in all areas of student achievement in Florida and nationally!
However, listing the accomplishments of the past, while gratifying, will not solve the problems of the future. Over the next few months, and even the next few years, there will be difficult issues that must be dealt with creatively and with great care and concern. Creative and resourceful thinking will be required to work through the complex issues that will be facing our school board in the coming years. Whether it is the fight against high stakes testing, returning control from the state and Federal governments to the local school board, or fighting to ensure that your tax dollars are not used to line the pockets of private entities in the name of "choice" or "reform," I am the only candidate with the proven Leadership and Experience to continue the fight for Student Success! Now, more than ever, you need Leadership & Experience for Student Success! I ask for your vote on August 26th! |
