Cheryle Gering is a judge of the First Judicial Circuit in South Dakota. She was appointed by Governor Dennis Daugaard in April 2011 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Arthur Rusch.[1][2][3] She was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires in 2022.[4]

Education
Gering received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota in 1988. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Iowa in 1991, graduating 6th in her class.[3]
