A City of Bridgeton Bond Issue, Proposition 1 ballot question was defeated on the August 6, 2013, election ballot in St. Louis County, which is in Missouri.

If approved, this measure would have authorized the City of Bridgeton to increase its debt by $17,500,000 through issuing general obligation bonds in that amount in order to fund capital improvements of city buildings and facilities.[1]

A two-thirds (66.67%) vote was required for approval.

Question on the ballot:

Shall the City of Bridgeton, Missouri issue its general obligation bonds in the amount not to exceed $17,500,000.00 for the purpose of constructing, furnishing and equipping a new community center and recreational complex and paying any costs associated with such project, including but not limited to costs of site development and demolition of the existing community center?[1][2]
