A City of St. Joseph Sales Tax ballot question was approved on the August 6, 2013, election ballot in Buchanan County, which is in Missouri.
This measure authorized the city of St. Joseph to impose a 0.5% sales tax for 20 years in order to fund police and public safety employee salaries and benefits, public safety equipment and public safety facilities[1]

Shall the City of St. Joseph, impose a citywide sales tax of one-half of one percent for a period of twenty (20) years for the purpose of improving the public safety of the city, including but not limited to additional police officers, public safety employee salaries and benefits, expenditures on public safety equipment, and public safety facilities?[1][2] |
