A Condon School District Property Tax Levy measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Gilliam County, which is in Oregon, where it was approved.

County given Summary of measure:

This measure would authorize the District to levy a property tax in the amount of $1.22 per $1,000 of assessed value each year for five years starting July 1, 2013. An estimate of the total amount to be raised each fiscal year is $200,00. The funds would be used to help in retaining teachers and meeting operating costs. Without the additional revenue the District would have to increase class size and decrease elective classes.[1][2]

Language of the question:

Shall the District levy $1.22 per $1000 tax assessed value for five years starting 2013-2014 for operations. This measure may cause property taxes to increase more than three percent.[1][2]
