A Coos County Home Rule Charter Initiative measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Coos County, which is in Oregon, where it was defeated.
If approved, this measure would have made Coos County a Home Rule County under Oregon law and adopts the proposed Coos County Charter. The text of the new Charter is available by request from any of the three Chief Petitioners:
