The Cuba City School District Referendum was a school bond measure on the April 21 ballot in the Cuba City School District, which is in Grant and Lafayette Counties. The referendum was brought to the ballot by the school board, and it sought to exceed state-set revenue limits by $600,000 per year. The additional funds will be used for operating costs.
Status
Approved, with 497 "yes" votes and 275 "no" votes.[1][2]
Wording of referendum
BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the School District of Cuba City, Grant and Lafayette Counties, Wisconsin, that the revenues included in the School District be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by an amount not to exceed $600,000 beginning in 2009-10 for a recurring purpose.[1]
